1204 GMT [Dow Jones] USD is modestly higher vs the European currencies and JPY but lower vs AUD and NZD after some firm Chinese data bolstered regional units. Holidays in Japan and the U.K., a scarcity of market-moving data, and caution ahead of key developments later in the week have kept trading constrained in the overnight session and in early North American trading. EUR is at $1.3240 from $1.3261 late Friday, according to EBS. It is at Y131.55 from Y131.72. USD trades at Y99.36 from Y99.28. USD is at CHF1.1394 from CHF1.1369, while pound sterling is at $1.4865 from $1.4890. (DBC)
